How to Add Language Subtitles to YouTube Videos
This article tells how a person can auto-generate English subtitles on a YouTube video, and how those English subtitles can be auto-translated into other languages. Realize that these unchecked subtitles will likely contain some errors, but that these subtitles may still be useful to customers and give them access to more of our video content than they otherwise would have.
1. Go to YouTube. Type keywords into the Search field for the topic you want.
2. Click Play on the video.
3. If no subtitles appear, click on CC to turn on English subtitles, OR you can use the Settings Gear to Auto-generate English subtitles.
4. Clicking on the Settings Gear brings up some options. Click on Subtitles/CC.
5. Click on Auto-translate.
6. Scroll through the list of possible languages. Click on the one you want, in this case, Spanish.
7. Once you click the desired language, it will appear on the video in place of the English subtitles.
8. Go back to the Settings Gear to revert back to English subtitles, or to add another language.
