How to Add Logo Bookends to a Video
After a video is recorded, we need to identify it as ours by adding bookends, our logo and music, to the beginning and ending.
- Go to Google Drive, by clicking here.
- Click on the ellipses next to the file named "Bookend - Finish"
- Select Download
- When prompted, select confirm the download
- Click on the folder icon in the upper right corner of your browser window
- Find the Bookend file and move it to your desktop
- If you have not already downloaded the video to which to want to add the bookend, download it from Wistia, Google Drive, or from wherever applicable.
- Control click on your desktop to create a new folder
- Double click on the folder name
- Rename folder after the video using the appropriate naming structure
- Inside the project folder, create two subfolders: 'Exports' and 'Resources'
- Adobe Premiere is recommended
- Screenflow is another, more beginner-friendly, option
- Open Adobe Premiere Pro
- In the upper left corner, click create new project
- Give the project an appropriate name
- Save project to 'Resources'
- Import Video
- Import Bookend
- Click, hold, drag and drop the video onto the timeline. The sequence created by this action will be named after the video resource itself.
- Click, hold and drag the video forward on the timeline by at least ten seconds.
- Click, hold, drag and drop bookend onto the timeline, in the empty space at the beginning
- Do the same for the end of the video
You are done. Great job!
