What to Include in Media Editor's Toolkit
Here is an example of some items that are often used and would be helpful to include in a Media Editor's Personal Toolkit.
Add other custom items that you want to include as well.
Bookends refer to the short music and video introduction and ending that get added to each of our videos identifying the videos as ours.
- Audiovisual segments, typically 10 seconds or fewer in duration.
- Contain company branding and copyright-free music.
- Used for intros and endings to our presentations.
- Example: Bookend - Himalaya - Intro
- Example: Bookend - Himalaya - Outro
- Keynotes, Powerpoints, and Zoho Show are used to create our presentations.
- When editing, some slides may need to be altered or replaced.
- Export images from Powerpoint or Keynote to create new slides as needed.
- Our company uses specific fonts in our presentations and other material.
- These fonts are variations of Bebas Neue, Open Sans, and Oswald.
- To ensure your Keynote/ Powerpoint/ Zoho Show / slide presentations contain these fonts, they must be downloaded in the data packets, which should be kept in your toolkit.
- May be used when generating new content.
- May be downloaded from YouTube via MP4 conversion.
- May be licensed via AdobeStock using company credit
- Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjYK28F9tVs
- Be advised: If using material from YouTube, it may be required to credit the author. (See video description for details.)
- These are simple images that may be used as references for sizing and placement of visual elements.
- Example of Editing Tool: Rule of Thirds
- The Timestamp Template is a simple text edit file that can be used to note the beginnings, endings, and durations of specific chronological events in presentations. (These may include presenter introductions, slides, volunteer sessions, testimonials, sales offers, sections that may require editing, etc.)

- The Quality Review Template is used to review and note the quality of a recording and its respective elements.

You are done. Great job!
