Using WeGlot Dashboard Editor: Quality Check & Correct a Translated Certification Course or Webpage
When reviewing a certification course on the website from the student point of view, you can quickly make corrections to errors found by using the WeGlot Dashboard Editor.
Instructions on this video will show you how this works:
https://www.loom.com/share/4b1cad6d8f0d4bb1b785f12b5bf60856?sid=196b6f7b-6f8b-40ac-b99d-07d6b69c102b
Use 2 windows, placed side by side so both are able to be viewed at the same time.
In the first window, login to WeGlot.com.
Click Projects, then click Discover Healing.
Under Translations by languages, click on the language.
(e.g., English > Traditional Chinese)
In the second window, login to discoverhealing.com in the language you will be checking.
From the Dashboard, click on the course.
Begin to review the course on Discover Healing from the student point of view.
When an error is found, highlight and copy the word/ phrase that needs correction.
Paste the error word/ phrase into the WeGlot Search field in the upper right.
HINT: Click on the magnifying glass to alternate between a Broad Search or an Exact Search to yield more or fewer results as needed. Also, copying text from the site that includes multiple formats (normal and bold, etc) may not always provide a search result. Try selecting only similarly formatted text.
You will see the English to the left side and the translation to the right. Locate the error and edit to make the correction. Click on the check mark to the right to save.
Under the edited area, "Automatic translation" will change to say "Manually edited translation".
IMPORTANT CAUTION: Preserve Formatting
Preserve the formatting and links of the words/ phrases that appear in colored bubbles. Be sure to ONLY edit within each bubble.
To edit within a bubble, always type the correction in the bubble first, then delete the error. Never delete the error first, as doing so will delete the formatting that needs to be there.
Refresh the web page showing the Discover Healing course to confirm that your edits appear.
Once confirmed, move on to the next correction.
Continue until the assignment is completed.
Another way to search WeGlot for incorrect translations is to use the URL search field on the left vertical menu.
Type in the beginning of the url of the page you are checking.
Example:
For this URL: https://discoverhealing.com/zh/course/level-1-certification/lesson/module-1-beginning-your-certification-journey/topic/module-1-video-welcome-to-emotion-code-certification/quizz/l1-module-1-quiz/ Type in the beginning of it which is: course/level-1-certification/lesson/
Results will appear below. Hover the curser over each result to see the complete URL.
Edit as described in the steps above.
If WeGlot seems sluggish, times out, or gives a "Page Unresponsive" message, check these:
a. Clear your Cache/ cookies
b. Turn off Extensions that aren't needed
(Browser settings > Extensions > Toggle Off the unneeded extensions)
c. Refresh WeGlot page
You are done. Great job!
