How to Quality Check/ Edit Subtitles on Wistia Videos
Go to Wistia.
Click Open next to Manager - Discover Healing
Click on the Title of the video you want to Quality Check/ Edit.
FYI - If you click on Customize > Captions (left vertical menu), you will see a message that subtitles are now being handled as Transcripts and editing is more simple than in the past.
Click on CC on lower right of video box.
Select language you want to Quality Check/ Edit. (In this example, German.)
Subtitles in that language should appear on the video.
The Transcript should appear on the right side. (If your window is narrow, the Transcript will appear below the video.)
Change the language of the Transcript by using the 3 dots next to Edit Transcript.
From the dropdown menu, click Select Language.
Choose language from the dropdown of options. Click blue Save button.
The selected language transcript will appear in place of the English one. The transcript will be highlighted showing where the current subtitle is on the video.
To Quality Check the subtitles, play the video and watch the subtitles. If a correction is needed, click on Edit Transcript button.
Edit directly in the Transcript area.
Click blue Save button often so your work is not lost.
Continue checking subtitles through the entire video until you are finished.
