How to Make Small Web Edits
Need to make a small edit to a webpage? Here’s how!
Go to the DiscoverHealing.com WordPress Admin Dashboard.
Navigate to the page you need to edit.
Use one of these two ways:
a. Search for the page on the forward-facing DiscoverHealing.com site, then click on ‘Edit Page’ in the black bar at the top of the page.
OR
b. In the Admin Dashboard, hover over ‘Pages’ in the left-hand navigation bar. Select ‘All Pages’ then search for the name of the page you want to edit, and click on the page name.
Once you are in the backend of the page you need to edit, select ‘Avada Builder’ from the blue boxes below the page title and URL if that view isn’t automatically selected.
If you don’t see ‘Avada Builder’ as an option, you’re already in that view. I highly suggest editing in this view rather than in the ‘Edit Live/Avada Live’ live view. (It’s easier to make unintentional changes to the global site in live view.)
Once you access the Avada Builder view backend of the page, scroll down to the section you need to edit.
You might need to check the live page to figure out which section to edit.
Hover over the center of the element you need to edit, then click on the far left square with the pen icon, it will say ‘Element Options’.
Make sure you click on the edit option that pops up when you hover over it (circled in red), rather than the Column edit (circled in blue below).
Each Element is different so you may need to look around a bit.
If it’s a text block, simply edit the text. If it’s a different element you may need to click another ‘Edit Item’ pen icon box.
Make the change you need to make, then click ‘Save’ for that element.
Click back to the Edit Page view, and then click the blue ‘Update’ button in the bottom right corner of the page.
Your edits are live! Confirm that your edits were saved and look correct.
