How to Create a Social Post

Creating Copy
- Review upcoming calendar events (DiscoverHealing.com/events) and any other time-sensitive promotions, podcasts, and other requests. These will be made available during meetings and on the Zoho Connect Boards for Marketing Team Projects and Social Media at https://connect.zoho.com/portal/discoverhealing/board/marketing-team-projects/section and https://connect.zoho.com/portal/discoverhealing/board/social-media-board/section
- Review upcoming holidays or relevant celebrations (eg: Earth Day).
- Testimonials can be selected at DiscoverHealing.com/Testimonials (Tips: Select shorter testimonials when appropriate. Avoid testimonials with language that could be flagged on platforms such as Instagram or Facebook.)
- Shorten and repurpose Blog Posts which can by found at DiscoverHealing.com/Articles
- Create copy with relevant events, information, and engaging content.
- Check readability and spell check copy via https://hemingwayapp.com/
- Grammar and spell check again via https://www.grammarly.com/
- Send Google Doc to be reviewed and edited by Marketing Team.
- Accept edits, final review.

Designing Creatives
- In the Creative Assignment sheet, add notes for each post’s creative. Include specific (brand-approved) color scheme or style (eg: gradients, summer/sunshine, nature, emotions, models, etc.) and copy for each creative.
- Assign creatives either to yourself or to those on the marketing team.
- Include Canva link to folder(s) for creatives. (Note: It is easier if each individual uses their own folder on Canva, as Canva will ‘glitch’ when multiple people are working on the same folder.) All creatives can ladder and be added to a “Month Year - Platform - Brand" Canva folder for easy download & upload.
- Once all creatives are completed, download the still images as PNG. Remember to download video files separately and select .MP4 for video.

Zoho Social
Bulk Upload Instructions:
Open Zoho Social Bulk Upload Template Sheet for Discover Healing or Zoho Bulk Upload Sheet for Dr. Brad’s.
Add dates for all scheduled posts in the content calendar. Dates and times are necessary, however, you can update these later as needed.


- Copy and paste the edited social copy into the sheet with the corresponding dates.
- Remove all paragraphs and extra spacing otherwise Zoho Social will reject those posts when uploading the sheet.

- Download sheet as .CSV
- Download Creatives from Canva. Download all still images as PNG. Download and videos MP4.
- Unzip files as needed.
Login to Zoho Social and verify you are on the correct Brand Profile you wish to work on (eg: Dr. Brad or Discover Healing)

- Upload Creatives to Media Library on Zoho Social by clicking the dropdown on Upload File and selecting “Desktop.”
- At this time, Zoho only allows users to upload 10 files at a time.
- Please note the Media Library is only accessible to each brand. You will need to upload creatives individually to Discover Healing and Dr. Brad.

- Upload Zoho Social Bulk Upload Sheet.
- First Click “New Post” dropdown and select “Bulk Schedule.”
- Select .CSV file.

- Set to only Facebook for each post, as multiple platforms have various copy restrictions and can interfere with the bulk upload process.
- Click “Schedule.”

- You may encounter errors while uploading. Click “Why?” to download the reason and forward to supervisor if requested. If any of the posts did not upload, proceed to Manual Upload Steps to schedule those posts in.
- If all posts were uploaded successfully, proceed to the next step.
- Now you can begin adding creatives and adjusting in time slots as needed.
- Start by viewing the Calendar of scheduled posts.
- Individually click each post and select “Edit”
- Select which platforms you’d like to schedule the post on.

- Click the image icon, select “Media Library” and select which creatives to add to the post.

For Instagram Only: Click the “Instagram First Comment” button. Select the hashtag logo to select a group of Hashtags to add.


- Once all creatives have been added click “Update Schedule.”

Manual Upload
At times Zoho’s Bulk Upload feature will fail for some or all of the posts, you may need to upload more than 4 images at once, or you may have events or content that come up after the calendar has been scheduled. Here is how you can schedule these posts manually through Zoho.
- Login to Zoho Social and verify you’re on the correct brand (eg: Dr. Brad or Discover Healing) that you wish to publish the post on.

- Click “New Post” on the top right. If you need to customize the post for separate platforms or upload more than 4 images, please select “Customize Content.”

- Select “Schedule for a Specific Date” and pick a date and time for the post to go live. (Tip: Do this even if you wish to publish the post today so as to prevent accidentally clicking “publish” before you’re ready!)
- Select which platforms you will be publishing this for by clicking their respective icons above. Copy and paste the social copy for the post.

- Click the image icon and select “Media Library” and select which graphic you’d like to add to the post.

For Instagram Only: Click the “Instagram First Comment” button. Select the hashtag logo to select a group of Hashtags to add.


- Click “Schedule” once all content has been added.
