List each Product with its Name, SKU, Avatax Code, Weight, and Dimensions.

Simple products are all alike.

Variable products will be those with different colors, sizes, etc.

Determine how to categorize the product. Consider current and possible future variables.

For this example, we will be looking at T-Shirts with different variations of color and size.

There will be 3 different products: Mens Heathered Charcoal, Ladies Fuchsia Frost, and Ladies Royal Frost. The only variable will be the size.

Go to https://discoverhealing.com/wp-admin/

Click on New > Product

Fill in the name of the product and adjust (shorten) the permalink if necessary.

Add product info to text box.

Fill in Product data.

For the T-shirt example, select Variable product.

Use Advanced to create a Purchase note to the customer if desired. You can use this as a reminder that this item is not returnable, etc. It appears on the Thank You page and on their invoice.

Use Variations to list each variation of the product.

In this case, variations are sizes.

Fill in details.

Click on Expand to open all of the variations at the same time.

Click on down arrow to the side of each variation to open just that one.

Fill in the details needed.

In this example, Medium variation is shown.

(Repeat for each of the sizes.)

You will need this to get SKU, Weight, Dimensions, Avatax Code, and HTS Code.

If you need a different image for variations, (like color), you can use the blue image icon to upload a different image for each one.

In this situation, the men's T-Shirt only has one color, so this won't be necessary, but if we had 2 colors, we would use it.

Fill in Product short description.

1. Long Description: appears in the store underneath the product image

2. Short Description: appears in the store to the right of the product image

Here is an example how it looks in the Discover Healing store for The Emotion Code Magnetic Chart of Emotions.

Fill in side panel information.

Check Product category. Add new category if necessary.

Add Product tags.

Find an image that will be used to represent the product for the store.

(If it is a new category for the store, get a category image too.)

Select Upload Files (if you are adding a new image)

Select Media Library (if image is already uploaded).

Click on image you want to use.

Click Set product image.

Image will appear in side panel.

Save as a draft until you confirm that it is ready to be published and visible in the store.
