How to Trash & Redirect a Video on Discover Healing Site
Use this when you want to remove a video from the Discover Healing site and you don't want to create a 410 Error.
If done properly, the video will no longer appear when it is searched for or when the link to it is clicked on in an article.
Instead, the old link will be redirected to another appropriate place. In this case, we will use the generic general video page link for the redirect.
Go to Dashboard.
The number appearing on the right shows how many videos on the site are in this category. When you click on the number, a list of those titles appears.
In this example, there is only one video on this category list, but if there were more, you would need to find the specific one you want to delete.
Hover over the Title and click on Trash that appears below it.
You will get a message saying that the URL has been deleted.
You have a choice to create a 410 message saying the content was deleted, or to Redirect to another URL.
Click on Redirect it to another URL.
Type in or paste in the new URL where you want the redirect to go. In this case, we are using the generic general videos page.
Click OK.
You should see the redirect message.
If you made a mistake in trashing and redirecting it, you can reverse it by using the Undo feature.
The title should no longer appear on the list.
The number on the category will decrease by one from what it was before.
